AC Milan Academy Virginia (MAV) Travel Program Financial Aid

AC Milan Academy Virginia understands that enrolling in the Travel Program can pose financial challenges for some families. To help, MAV offers financial assistance to eligible members. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the program:

 

Eligibility and Application Process:

• Who can apply? Financial aid is available to Travel Program members who demonstrate financial need.

• How to apply? Financial aid applications are integrated into the player registration process. During registration, complete the financial aid application questions and upload two of the following documents:​

  • Two most recent pay stubs

  • Free and Reduced Lunch Eligibility Letter

  • SNAP Benefit Eligibility Letter

• Most recent Federal tax return (Form 1040) for both parents (excluding supporting schedules)

• Important notes:

  • Incomplete applications will be disqualified.

  • All MAV registration fees must be paid in full on time for players to be eligible for team activities.

Application Review and Award Decisions:

• Once you submit your application, a committee will review it.

• Choose the Financial Aid Payment Plan option and pay the deposit while your application is being considered.

• You will be notified by email regarding the award decision, and your invoice will be adjusted accordingly.

 

Application Deadlines and Considerations:

• Applications must be received by July 25, 2024 for full-season consideration.

• Early applications may receive preferential treatment based on available funds.

• Decisions are made periodically based on player performance and quality.

• Players offered a spot after the deadline can apply within 30 days of their offer date.

 

Additional Points:

• Applications received by July 25th (or 30 days after the fall offer date) are considered for the entire season.

• New spring-only players can apply for spring aid.

• All applicants must reapply each fall season.

• Financial aid is not awarded retroactively for past seasons.
