Youth Soccer Coach

AC Milan Academy Virginia, part of the AC Milan International Academies, was established in 2024 to offer elite training to players aged 5 to 18. The academy aims to support their sporting and personal growth while instilling core values such as spirit, respect, and teamwork. AC Milan Academy Virginia is expanding to different areas across Virginia and partnering with international schools to provide both academy-level and social football training.

 

We are seeking an independent and adaptable individual to deliver training sessions to players, adhering to AC Milan's Methodology and under the supervision of the AC Milan Head Coach.

Reporting line: Report directly to the AC Milan Academy Head Coach.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow the Academy Head Coach's instructions to deliver football training sessions.

  • Study and prepare the weekly training proposal plan.

  • Prepare and set up the pitch according to the proposal plan at least 30 minutes before training starts.

  • Understand the proposal prepared weekly and implement the training following the plan/methodology.

  • Take care of the Academy's facilities such as goals, cones, balls, boxes, pumps, bibs, etc.

  • Attend weekly meetings with the Coaches' team.

  • Attend monthly formation day.

 

Requirements:​

  • Desire to learn and improve coaching skills, training knowledge, and soft skills such as organization, time management, problem-solving, multitasking, etc.

  • The ability to manage, develop, and motivate youth soccer players. 

  • Interpersonal communication skills are necessary for interacting with the players their families and club officials.

  • A Level 1 coach shall have a USSF B (or comparable foreign license) and at least five years of coaching experience with high-level US and International Programs, Academies, Leagues (ECNL, MLS Next, UPSL, NPL, EDP, ODP, Regional Leagues, etc.) subject to verification.

  • A Level 2 coach shall have USSF C (or comparable foreign license) and at least five years of coaching experience with high-level US and International Programs, Academies, Leagues (ECNL, MLS Next, UPSL, NPL, EDP, ODP, Regional Leagues, etc.) subject to verification.  

  • A Level 3 coach shall have a USSF D (or comparable foreign license) and at least five years of coaching experience with high-level US and International Programs, Academies, Leagues (ECNL, MLS Next, UPSL, NPL, EDP, ODP, Regional Leagues, etc.) subject to verification.

  • NSCAA Advanced National Diploma or higher; a USSF or NSCAA National Youth license; and a minimum of six years of comparable coaching experience.  

  • All coaches need proper working documentation and must subject to I-9 verification (set by the DHS) and a Background check by a 3rd party.

  • Driver's license and reliable transportation

 

Pay:

Competitive salary based on experience. Potential for additional pay coaching opportunities through camps, clinics, training programs, etc.

  • DMV Area​
